A Letter from Bishop Bob Coulter:
My heart is very concerned about the direction of our country, It is open warfare between Godly values and ungodly values. We may be doing better economically but morally we are not.
For this reason, I sent out a notice calling for a National Solemn Assembly starting on September 18 (the beginning of Yom Kippur) through September 19.
Joel 1:2 Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?
My answer is no. I have not seen anything like this in my days or the days of my forefathers. I have never seen such a blatant rejection of God’s Word. In one state, they are trying to pass a law to prohibit it! Sexual immorality is accepted as a norm. Corruption is being exposed in government at an all-time high level. Extreme views have taken over media. We have stopped listening and discussing with each other. Now it seems as if all we do is try to out shout each other or physically attack each other. When somebody disagrees with your idea, it does not mean they do not like you. No, it just means they disagree with your idea.
Reasonable people can disagree without being disagreeable. Satan is using this divisive spirit to bring disunity into our nation. Christ said a house divided against itself cannot stand.
The word of God gives us a remedy in Joel 2:12-16. 'Even now,' declares the Lord, 'return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.' 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. 14 Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing — grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God. 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.
Therefore, we took God’s advice by calling for a National Solemn Assembly starting on September 18 (the beginning of Yom Kippur) through September 19. We will start with a live stream at 8 pm on September 18 in Lancaster, South Carolina. For more information go to: https://www.tmciworld.com/solemn-assembly.html.
We encourage you to participate online with us and/or to bring a group together where you are to pray and fast for our nation that night or during the day on September 19.
Folks, the time to fight for the soul of this nation is now, so I earnestly beseech you to join us and remember 2 Chronicles 7:14 ; God says if we humble ourselves I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Praying earnestly for reformation for our nation.

We are sensing God calling forth a Solemn Assembly as described in Joel 2:15 to call God's people to repent on behalf of our nation. Here is the Joel 2 description for this call to seek God for our nation:
"Blow the trumpet in Zion; set apart a fast- a day of restraint and humility; call a solemn assembly. Gather the people.. Let the priests and the ministers weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, 'Have pity and spare Your people, O Lord, and give not Your heritage to reproach, that nations should rule over them.’ Then was the Lord jealous for His land, and had pity on His people." Joel 2:15-18. Amplified (also 2 Chron. 7:14, 15)
